For those that are still on the 17th.
I wanted to cook some steaks, make some colcannon mash, etc... but step-father had his mind on Chinese food, so I got Chinese food (things you do for a quiet life).
I got some Guinness and have some left somewhere.
Now for a little whiskey.

A change of plan but not a compromise. Well done.

I was going to cook a couple of flat iron steaks. Then he said he wanted a Chinese, so I thought, while he has a Chinese, I’ll have a ribeye, then I thought, sod it. I’ll have a Chinese also.

It could be worse buddy, it could of been a ‘lite’ beer.
I’ve not had a ‘banquet’.
At the end of the day it’s still alcohol which I think were all going to be needing more of to get through all this.
Cheers.

The whiskey or the Chinese?
The Chinese is special fried rice, deep fried chilli chicken and BBQ ribs, because ribs are a must.
The whi s key is a small batch distiller and the single grain is so smooth. You could knock it back, but honestly it’s so smooth you want to savour the experience.

Amen to both. I'm not s big drinker, but I'd totally rock a high grade whiskey.
